The Guild
The Guild is an American comedy webseries created and written by Felicia Day, that also stars as Cyd Sherman. It premiered YouTube on July 27, 2007. Seasons two through five webisodes premiered on Zune Market Place Microsoft's Xbox Live Market Place, along with MSN Video. The webisodes were made available on iTunes, YouTube, along with the Guild internet site. As stated by Day, the business model of Microsoft changed after season five. Day desired to maintain ownership, so the incident premieres moved to Day's YouTube channel Geek & sun dry. The webisodes can also be available via loading and DVD Hulu along with Netflix.
The series revolves around the lifetime of a gamers' on the web guild, Good's Knights, who play hundreds of hours of a fantasy MMORPG game entitled The Sport. The story focuses on Codex, the Priestess, that tries to lead a normal life after one of her guildmates shows up on her doorstep of the guild.
Joss Whedon credits The Guild as one of those inspirations for Dr. Horrible's Singalong Website, which also starred Felicia Day.
The season premiered on Geek & sun-dry on October 2, 2012.
At a phone interview after the season's conclusion, Felicia Day confirmed that The Guild webseries is complete.
