Santa Evita

After Eva Perón's passing in 1952, her body was kept in storage for a period of three years in anticipation of the construction of a mausoleum, which was ultimately never completed. In 1955, the Argentine military took control of the country and kept Perón's remains from the public out of the fear that it would rally the country's population against them. But they never foresaw the possibility that by carrying out their plan, she would become an even greater threat in death than she had been in life.
