Ideal
Ideal is just actually a British dark comedy sit-com, created by Graham Duff, originally broadcast on digital channel BBC Three and made by Baby Cow Productions and BBC Comedy North. It stars Johnny Vegas as smalltime cannabis dealer Moz.
It is set in Salford, Greater Manchester, as Duff was comfortable with the area having done many gigs there chosen. The majority of the series takes place in Moz's apartment and revolves round the diverse collection of characters that see Moz to buy cannabis.
The closing theme is"Song of the Oss" from the album Nuada: Music Inspired By the Film the Wicker Man written by British group Candidate. The show also comes with a number of tracks.
It was broadcast in Britain, on entertainment station 3e in Ireland and on ABC2 in Australia.
First broadcast in 2005, seven show are shown. The most recent ended on 30 June 2011.
After the show aired, Ideal was countered with the BBC. Following announcement, writer and creator Graham Duff composed to fans:"Since a few of you may have heard, the BBC have decided against commissioning an 8th collection of Ideal. The reason was that the station control wanted to generate a fresh sweep. It is just a source of both pride and frustration which, at the idea of cancellation, Ideal attracted its biggest audiences, its profile its own most useful and guest stars reviews. And the show is presently being screened more countries than in the past - from America to Finland and outside " Fans have found a request dedicated to saving the show.
