Nikkatsu has relaunched the Roman Porno label and resumed production of new works, reinstating the label's role as a laboratory for playful experimentation with the goal of achieving new forms of cinematic expression. Hideo Nakata began his career at Nikkatsu as an assistant director and has worked on multiple on-location shootings for the Roman Porno soft-core series, but this is Nakata's first Roman Porno feature. With his reverence for his master, director Masaru Konuma, he opposes a lesbian world taking over from the old title spirits. Two women are in a relationship: Tokiko, a ceramic artist, and Haruka, her trainee. The couple is not intrinsically lesbian, but they met by coincidence.
