Storm Over Asia
In 1918, a European capitalist fur merchant defrauds a youthful and naive Mongol herdsman and trapper of a valuable fox fur. He flees to the hills after brawling with the trader who cheated him. In1920, he joins the Soviet partisans and assists them in fighting the invading British troops on behalf of the Soviets. However, he is apprehended by the British when they attempt to requisition animals from the herdsmen concurrently with the commandant's meeting with a reborn Grand Lama. Following the trapper's assassination, the army discovers an amulet indicating he is a direct descendent of Genghis Khan. They discover he is still alive, and the army plans to employ him as the head of a puppet regime after restoring his health. As a result of his appointment as puppet government head, the trapper is catapulted into prominence. By the end, the "puppet," however, has turned against his masters in a fit of rage.
