She lives in the home with her grand parents and has never been anywhere by herself. Once in Iran, she finds herself with Persians and poets, all who tell her stories which induce her to confront her history. The Iranian dad she supposed abandoned her and the type of Poetry itself. It's all about building connections between ethnic and generational divides. It's about being interested. Staying receptive. And finding your voice through the magic of poetry. Rosie goes in an unwitting travel of forgiveness and perhaps above all, understanding, through studying her father's past, her own cultural identity, and her responsibility for this.
