The End of St. Petersburg
The End of St. Petersburg (Russian: ??? a???-???????, translit. Konets Sankt-Peterburga) is a silent film directed by Vsevolod Pudovkin and produced by Mezhrabpom that premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 1927. When The End of St Petersburg was made to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the October Revolution, it quickly became Pudovkin's most well-known work, cementing his reputation as one of the best Soviet montage film filmmakers. In conjunction with Mother(1926) and Storm Over Asia(1927), the picture constitutes a part of Pudovkin's'revolutionary trilogy' (1928).
