Stephen Frears directs this biographical drama concentrating on controversial playwright Joe Orton, revealed in flashback Kenneth Halliwell. Born in the English Midlands,'' John'Joe' Orton appreciates an openly homosexual relationship with Halliwell inside their renowned Islington apartment in the 1960s, and moves in 1951 into London, to examine at RADA. When success is achieved by Orton with such plays as'What the Butler Saw' and'Loot','' Halliwell begins to feel rested as well as the future of the pair looks increasingly unclear.
